Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 July 2026

Zompo is a one-tap arcade game made by PixelSwish. This policy explains, in plain terms, what information is involved when you play, and the choices you have. We have kept it deliberately simple, because the game keeps things simple too.

The short version

Information Zompo stores on your device

Your best score is saved on your device so the game can show it to you next time you play. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is removed if you delete the app. We cannot see it.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Zompo displays ads using Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device type and settings, a device or advertising identifier, general location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with ads. This is handled by Google, not by us.

Google's use of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can learn more about how Google uses data from apps that use its services at google.com/policies/privacy/partners.

If you decline tracking (see below), ads are still shown but are non-personalised.

App Tracking Transparency

When you first open Zompo, iOS asks whether you allow the app to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. This choice is entirely yours. Choosing Ask App Not to Track does not limit the game in any way — you can still play everything, and ads simply become non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Game Center (optional)

If you choose to sign in to Apple Game Center, your scores can be submitted to the global leaderboard, shown under your Game Center nickname. This feature is provided by Apple and is handled under the Apple Privacy Policy. Zompo receives no personal information from Game Center, and you can play the full game without signing in.

Who your information is shared with

We do not sell your information. The only third parties involved are the service providers that make the above features work:

Each processes information under its own privacy policy, linked above.

Children

Zompo is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Zompo does not knowingly collect personal information from children directly. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the app, please contact us and we will help address it.

Your choices and rights

You are in control of your information:

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, including rights to access, correct, or erase personal data held about you. Because the personal data involved is processed by Google and Apple, you can exercise many of these rights directly with them via the policies linked above, or contact us and we will assist.

Data retention

Your on-device best score is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Any information processed by Google or Apple is retained according to their respective policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be made clear here.

Support

Need a hand with Zompo? Most questions are answered below. If you're still stuck, we're happy to help.

How do I play?

Your dot orbits a ring. The next ring kisses it, and a bright highlighted window marks where they touch. Tap while your dot is inside the window to leap across onto the next ring. Your spin reverses with every leap, like meshing gears — so read the new direction before the next window. The chain climbs forever. One mistake ends the run.

What ends a run?

Two things. Tap outside the window and your dot flings off into space. Let the window's far edge slip past untouched and your dot drifts off. There's one approach per ring — no lazy laps.

What is a "perfect" leap?

Tap near the centre of the window and you land a perfect leap, rewarded with a little sparkle of harmony.

It keeps speeding up and changing shape

That's meant to happen. The orbit gets faster with every leap, the colours cycle every 10 points, the rings change shape as you climb, and every 60 points the whole playfield turns. It's the challenge ramping up as you get further.

How do I turn the sound off?

Tap the settings icon (the gear, on the menu) and turn Sound off. You can turn it back on there any time.

Is there a colour-blind mode?

Yes. Open settings and turn on Colour-blind mode for a high-contrast palette that stays clear for all kinds of colour vision.

How do the leaderboards work?

Global rankings use Apple Game Center. Sign in to Game Center on your device to appear on the global leaderboard. Your personal best is always saved on your device, whether or not you sign in.

What is "Watch to Continue"?

When a run ends you can, if you like, watch a short ad to carry on from where you were, once per run. It's completely optional — you can always tap Play Again instead. Zompo is free, and ads help keep it that way.

My best score disappeared

Your best score is stored on your device only. Deleting and reinstalling the app clears it, as there's no account to restore it from.
